Introducing Vietnam: A Cultural Journey at the Summer Camp in Slovakia

The event, “Discover Vietnam,” was a collaborative effort with the embassies of Canada, Portugal, Chile, and the Republic of Korea in Slovakia. It engaged 50 students aged 11-18 in an immersive journey to explore the vibrant culture and diverse attractions of Vietnam.

Now in its 5th edition, the program offered a unique blend of political, economic, cultural, tourism, and educational insights to young Bratislavans, empowering them to consider their future career paths in a global context.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Slovakia, Nguyen Tuan, emphasized the program’s impact on fostering cultural understanding and appreciation among Slovak students. He highlighted how it created a platform for them to embrace multiculturalism and build connections with international friends, including those from Vietnam.

During the event, students benefited from interactive sessions led by representatives of the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs, travel experts, FPT company delegates, and members of the Vietnamese community. They gained valuable insights into Vietnam’s history, culture, traditions, and the warmth of its people.

It wasn’t just about lectures and discussions; the young participants also indulged in a culinary adventure, savoring traditional Vietnamese dishes and experiencing the country’s rich culinary heritage.
