Octa Gives Back: Providing Charity Support for Eid al-Adha Celebrations
Eid al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, was celebrated this year from June 15th to 19th. An integral part of the festivities is the offering of prayers and the sacrifice of an animal, typically a goat, sheep, cow, or camel. In the spirit of giving and community, devout Muslims distribute the meat in thirds: one-third is given to the less fortunate, another third is shared with friends and family, and the final third is kept for the performer of the Qurbani (sacrifice).
